From the Chair

Hello everyone…

A year ago, we increased the size of our committee to allow development and growth of the Group and I am pleased to report that this is now happening. Group membership has grown rapidly in the last six months and we have 125 memberships (some of which are families with generations of HME affected people). As a committee, we are continually reviewing and updating our systems to cope with the demand and to ensure the smooth development and growth of the Group.

The most significant change we have made so far is the introduction of the HMESG Conference. As many of you will know, we have previously held annual half-day meetings, but nothing on such a scale as the Conference. We are very fortunate to have the support of so many experts in the field who are willing to give talks on the day.

A reminder from Sarah that if you haven't returned your registration form yet, the deadline is 7 September.

This event will also provide us with the opportunity to raise the profile of HME, so please come along and help us to make ourselves heard. The more the merrier and the bigger the impact! Come on, don't hold back – send your form NOW!! We would really like this new venture to be a resounding success.

As always, please let us know any comments or suggestions you may have for the Group.

Hope to see you in October!

Helen Small
